It was a nice, sunny day, just the kind Clandestine liked. It was warm, but a nice, cool breeze kept everything at the right temperature. Mares were grazing peacefully; stallions were trying to convince those mares to join them; and Clandestine was just trotting in the middle of it all. Her silky black tail waved elegantly as she gracefully, daintly placed her feet in the most particular places. She swung her head around once in a while, taking in all of the sights around her. Clandestine had no idea where she was going, but where ever it was, she was enjoying the trip. As the winds picked up their pace, so did the mare. She burst into a canter. Her mane flapped gently against her neck, going up, then down... up, then down. Clandestine didn't no what this place was called, but she already liked it.
From seeing what was happening around here, Clandestine was guessing that this was the claiming area. She slowed down to a leisurely walk, then a halt. She took a quick glance around to make sure no one was looking, and lowered herself to the earth with a grunt. Sinking down slightly into the soft earth, she rolled onto her back, striking out into the air with her hooves. She repeated the process a couple times, then rolled back onto her stomach, stuck out her legs, and pushed herself back into the air. Spreading her back legs and extending her neck, she shook herself like a wet dog. All dirt and grass went flying. Once she was grass-free, Clandestine dropped her head to graze, with her ears still alert.

((I love your picture of Amante!))
Clandestine heard the stallion before he halted before her. She lifted her head and turned to face the stallion. He certainly wasn't an ugly horse! As he spoke, her ears tipped forward, and she listened intently. "Nice to meet you, Dante. I'm known as Clandestine. It's a bit of a mouthful, so you can call me Clan or something like that if you'd like."

Clandestine was flattered. She had been envied by many mares who told her she was gorgeous, but never before had a stallion compliented her. "That works, too," she said, then laughed. She could certainly get used to that name. And she wasn't the only one who was beautiful. But, perhaps "handsome" fit Dante better. He was very well put together, and she loved his color. Most stallions she saw were boring bay or chestnut. Not that she thought those colors were boring, but most stallions had the most boring shades of it. Clandestine had been lucky to get a beautiful shade of coppery-reddish bay.

Clandestine flashed him a kind smile. "I'd love to join you. I don't mind a quiet terra. It's more peaceful, not as hectic, you know?" She smiled and took a step forward. "Just show me the way." She stood patiently, flicking her tail at the flies around her.
